If you seek to understand more about the many layers of yoga, here are a few books I love and highly recommend. Remember though that Yoga is best learnt under the personal guidance of a teacher who will help you ensure you are safely doing the poses or different breathing and meditation practices.

"THE TREE OF YOGA"
by BKS Iyengar

A very accessible and thorough insight into the traditional 8 limbs of Yoga by the greatest teacher of our times. A chance to understand how the practice of Yoga is much more than a good stretch !

"YOGA, THE PATH TOWARDS HEALTH"
by BKS Iyengar

A great coffee table book with an overview of the main Yoga Asanas in pictures, a series of sequences for ailments and general sequences to start a self-practice. A great reference book.

"WAKING, A MEMOIR OF TRAUMA AND TRANSCENDENCE"
by Matthew Sanford

A book that changed the course of my life, as it was the beginning of teaching Yoga for Disability and Trauma. A deeply moving account of Matthew Sanford’s personal journey after a devastating accident. My words won’t do it justice… Read it!

"THE WOMAN'S YOGA BOOK"
Asana and Pranayama for all phases of the menstrual cycle by Bobby Clennell

A must have for all lady practitioners who seek to support their reproductive health at the deepest level throughout their life and practice.
